Translation of hypersequents into display sequents

In this paper two generalizations of Gentzen's sequents calculus are dealt with: hypersequent systems and display sequent calculi. Whereas hypersequents are finite sequences of ordinary sequents, display sequents are obtained through replacing the comma in ordinary sequents by a number of structure operations. In three case-studies it is shown that and how hypersequents can be encoded as display sequents.
