A review of electrical machine design processes from the standpoint of software selection

Design of electrical machine is a complex multilevel task. Design process takes into account the technologies for the electrical machines production, quality standards, economic indicators and many other factors associated with electric machines. The design and calculation of electrical machine has a link with the technology and production fields. The main goal for each electrical machine designer is to find the shortest way from initial task to production and testing. Many different calculation and design products are presented nowadays. The main goal of the research paper is to give an overview for different software solutions used for all steps of electrical machine producing. Moreover, the design optimization solutions are presented and classified.
