Service risk analysis for power communication over optical transport networks based on link failure

In this paper, service risk model based on the fiber link failure is defined for the power communication over optical transport networks (OTN). We also propose the computation methods for the probability of fiber link failure, and the service losses. The method for service risk analysis is designed and the probability of fiber link failure is analyzed. The reliability loss caused by the single fiber link failure is evaluated. In the end, the effectiveness of the service risk model is verified by exploiting the practical network model.
