Testing image synthesis for skanners verification

The article considers the approach to scanners testing. It is shown that a scanner includes two main channels: channel of photoelectric conversion and channel of measurement of objects spatial co-ordinates. Despite the fact that both channels include virtually the same elements, channel parameters testing should be separated. For this purpose, a special structure of a two-dimensional reference signal is proposed where the fields intended for different scanner parameters testing are spatially separated. Information losses during transformation of the document into a digital form are linked with the scanner characteristics. The reference signal parts forming and working out of the methods for measuring information processing to test the grayscale transmitting ability, resolution and aberrations level are considered.
