A comparative study of DC-DC step up converter

Now a day it is important to improve the energy conversion system in order to achieve increased efficiency of converter. In this work, step up DC-DC converter is studied. The conventional boost converter causes switching loss during turn ON and turns OFF results in reduction in efficiency. For improving efficiency a soft switching pulse width modulated (PWM) Zero-Voltage Transition (ZVT) Zero-Current Transition (ZCT) boost converter with modified topologies are studied. The soft switching converter technique decreases size and cost with the increased operating frequency.
