Load modeling and analysis of cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter

Medium voltage multilevel inverters are used for high power applications. These will show a significant impact on the system dynamics because of their vast size and high power demand. Switching models for these multilevel inverters are already available through Mat lab/Simulink. Anyway Dynamics in the system cannot be analyzed using the switching models in Power system. So Load modeling and analysis for multilevel inverters is discussed in this paper. Through load modeling, analyzing Dynamic study becomes easy. This model includes multilevel inverter, induction motor and the control technique used. So it can measure the dynamics accurately. Basic Switching model is also discussed in this paper. The advantage with the load modeling is you can directly use this model in the power system dynamic studies.
