The Research of Intelligent Traffic Congestion Pricing Technology Based on BaiDou Navigation and Token Payment

The paper analyses the chief problems of current widely-used congestion pricing solutions, presents a new model by integrating BDS (BeiDou Navigation Satellite System) with Token Payment technology, and implements a new intelligent urban traffic congestion pricing solution. In the new solution, the congestion pricing fee is calculated and charged automatically depending on real-time vehicle trajectory with BDS coordinates and secure payment with token technology. The solution shows obvious advantages in terms of cost, flexibility and user experience.
