A study of relationships between dragon veins and fractal dimenions

Feng Shui is a traditional philosophy of Chinese culture. In the Feng Shui theory, the dragon vein is an important element. In this paper we study the relationship between the fractal dimension and the dragon vein. Our experiment results show that the fractal dimensions of dragon veins is accordance with our prior knowledge of dragon veins. We argue that the fractal dimension could be used as a quantitative indicator of dragon veins. In addition, by comparing the reality of Taiwan with our experiment results, we further argue that we can use the fractal dimension as a quantitative indicator to help feng shui masters to decide the place of settlement.
