Flow configuration software implemented on FDT2 standard

This paper presents differential pressure based flow configuration software implemented using FDT2 technology. FDT2 is a latest version of FDT standard (IEC62453) which is useful for configuration, monitoring, diagnosis and asset management of field device. Using FDT2 technology, client server system for flow configuration will be achieved keeping the interoperability of host system. The original design achieving unified application implementation on FDT2 without the difference of host integration technology and communication protocols is shown. The flow configuration business logic implemented in server function on FDT2 can be integrated as FITS (FDT IIOT Server) and a lot of benefits will be achieved referring to RAMI4.0. This will greatly improve plant operation in future.
