Reduction of the discrete error of a digital delay simulation method for reflected radar signals

The article describes the structure and characteristics of a reflected (scattered) signals retransmitting simulator, based on a probing signal transformation. A digital signal conversion includes digitizing, storing, reading with realizing a variable discrete time-delay, multiplying to realize the Doppler frequency shift, retransmitting with a desired variable attenuation. For linear frequency modulated signals, in order to reduce the typical discrete error of range simulation, it is proposed to use a frequency (phase) shift method based on a quadrature multiplication by a harmonic signal with the frequency, which, in general case, nonlinearly depends on a necessary distance offset.
