Active cancellation of radar cross section of large aircraft using conformai 2-port magnetic T-shaped antenna

The finite element method the possibilities of the RCS active cancellation of the large aircraft (LA) with stealth conformai 2-ports magnetic antenna (MA) is considered. The antenna is located in the upper part of the fuselage of an aircraft in a niche under the radar absorbing radome. The antenna is simulated as T-shaped antenna with three-layers of the ferrite core with two coils and with excitation ports. The effect of excitation of the ports of the MA on radiation patterns, scattering diagrams and the active cancellation of RCS of LA-MA system in the range of 2-30 MHz is studied. The amplitude-phase conditions of the active cancellation of total RCS of LA-MA system is received. It is shown that the smart inclusion of active MA in the stealth-mode, according to these conditions, provides of the deep reduction (over 40 dB relative to aircraft RCS without antenna) of total expected RCS in the given direction in different angular sectors of observation.
