Three phase transformer modelling by frequency response analysis measurement

This paper presents a modeling approach of a three-phase transformer using the FRA response, the developed model consists of a cascade of parallel RLC cells, the parameters are identified using the FRA data measurements obtained on each transformer phase over a wide frequency range. The proposed model can simulate the frequency behavior of the transformer without need to the coils geometries which makes it easily practical in the failure diagnosis field. Experimental results on a laboratory transformer validate the proposed model.
