Optimization and comparison of distributed generator in distribution system using backward and forward sweep method

This paper represents a easy methodology for optimal location and comparison of distributed generator (DG) in distribution system. Main idea behind this methodology is just to decrease the power loss and to reduce the environmental effects. Backward forward sweep method has been used to carry out base power flow analysis due to its high convergence rate and simplicity. The proposed methodology has been simulated on IEEE 33-bus distribution systems in the MATLAB environment. The outputs obtained clearly show the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.
