Design and prototype of flyback transformer driven electro hydrodynamic thruster

An Electro-hydrodynamic (EHD) thruster is a static device that employs electro-hydrodynamic phenomenon to produce thrust in the air. It generates net vertical force from electrostatic field. It consists of two parallel conducting electrodes, one in the form of a fine wire and the other in the form of a foil skirt. When a very high potential difference is applied, it generates a uniform electric field between the electrodes, which sets up an ionic wind, that result in a net upward thrust. Working principle of EHD thruster is based on Asymmetrical Capacitors. High voltage is obtained from flyback transformer which is driven using a flyback driver.
