WE-PM-Electrical equipment in medical practice

This article consists of a collection of slides from the author's conference presentation. Using wireless devices in medical practice offers many benefits but they need to be assessed for the right environment. EM Risk management needs to be embedded into the culture of the company. Most wireless modules are not designed for harsh EM environments and thought should be given to chip or module. A compliance strategy is needed early in the design phase to ensure that the product is designed for the right environment and has EM safety in mind and all stakeholders know what they are designing for. Testing during the development phases reduces risk (of non-compliance).
