Performance of 1 MW photovoltaic system in rajasthan: A case study

Indian government has ambitious plan for solar power generation. The total installed grid connected solar power capacity till 31^st March 2016 is 6762.85MW. Indian government has revised its photovoltaic electricity generation targets from 20000MW to 100000MW by 2022 (SESI); it will be a milestone for India's solar photovoltaic industry. Great efforts will be required to achieve these targets apart -from installation performance is very important. Performance ratio is the parameter which tells us the quality of installation and other factor, so it is very important to evaluate the performance of photovoltaic system in regular interval and comparison with other plants. Here we are presenting performance comparison of two different plant located at Fatehgarh and Bap (Rajasthan) respectively. SPV plant situated in Bap (Rajasthan), it is equipped with 4968 number of polycrystalline modules each 240Wp and Fatehgarh equipped with 6012 number of thin film modules each 140Wp.
