Loop transfer recovery based control technique for grid integrated spv system

This paper proposes a grid integrated solar photovoltaic (SPV) system using a loop transfer recovery (LTR) based control technique. The maximum power is extracted by utilizing a perturb and observe (P & O) based technique to obtain the peak power from the SPV array under variable insolations. However, the switching sequences of the grid integrated voltage source converter (VSC) are controlled by using the LTR based control technique. The proposed control technique also takes care the load unbalancing, power factor improvement and harmonics mitigation of nonlinear loads connected at point of interconnection (PIC). An implementation of grid integrated SPV system is developed in the laboratory environment. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed control technique.
