Online estimation and analysis of equivalent circuit parameters of three phase induction motor using particle swarm optimization

In this paper, a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based, online equivalent circuit parameter estimation scheme for induction motor is proposed. This is a simple, online parameter estimation scheme utilizes only the online measured data and estimate the equivalent circuit parameters based on the Kirchhoff's laws. By identifying the change in equivalent circuit parameter values, we can have the idea about the health condition of the motor. This scheme gives a better condition monitoring of industrial induction motors and can prevent them from get damaged.
