Employment creation and human development index analysis of renewable mix in island mode

In this paper authors have considered maximization of Employment Creation (EC) and Human Development Index (HDI) along with optimization in terms of sizing of hybrid system consisting of solar power (SP), wind power (WP), Battery energy power (BEP) and diesel generator power (DGP) generation units. Surplus energy generated and supplied by hybrid system may increase HDI, as HDI depends on usages of electricity. Employment creation will depends on various configuration of generating units of hybrid system and varies accordingly. Bare Bone Particle Swarm optimization (BBPSO) is applied for optimal results of the considered system. Three different technologies of solar panel have been considered for comparison. Results shows that AP-120 has best results as compared to other technologies.
