Concept of information signals reforming for the tilt measurement systems with a triaxial accelerometer

The navigation systems are used for land, sea, airborne, and space vehicles. These systems provide an operator and/or control system with the necessary information to effect some action in response to data provided by these systems. The core of the navigation system is a set of sensors combined with a microprocessor that can provide a relatively stable and accurate source of navigation. These systems output navigation state data which usually include the position, the velocity and the attitude. The current spatial object position can be determined by tilt measurement systems and azimuth measurement systems. The article considers mathematical models of the triaxial accelerometer-based tilt measurement systems, sources of their instrumental errors. These mathematical models allow one to carry out reforming of the measured signals distorted due to an inaccurate installation of the sensors in the tilt measurement system's body. The proposed concept of information signals reforming provides a high definition accuracy of the quasi-stationary and moving objects spatial orientation parameters presented by the zenith angle θ and roll angle φ.
