A mechanical vibration has a harmful influence on the strength of equipment and disrupts the technological process. For example, the radial run out of the rolling stand drive spindle leads to vibration during the operation of the spindle. It is results in lower the quality of rolling and the bearings heating. An accident analysis at hot rolling mills revealed that 85 per cent of the accidents are due to the dynamic loads, and the destruction of equipment is of a fatigue-free nature. A mathematical model of the “synchronous motor-roll” system need to build for the best explored of the dynamic loads problem on the rolling stand. This model should reflect the real transient processes. The article considers the development of such a mathematical model for the example of a hot rolling mill of stand 5000 OJSC “MMK” (Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works) using Bode diagrams.
