Facet based investigation on the composite EM scattering from ship over sea surface

This paper mainly focus on the composite scattering from sea surface with electrically large targets. For this purpose, a refined facet scattering field model combined with the GO-PO hybrid method is presented to calculate the scattering from a ship target on sea surface. When dealing with the coupling scattering between the ship and sea surface, the GO-PO method can consider the mutual shaded effect between the patches on target and the facets on the sea surface. Thus, it is more reasonable to calculate the second scattering contribution of different patches. numerical simulation for the composite scattering of a ship target and sea surface verify the validity of the proposed model and scattering properties of a composition scene are analyzed.
