Study on dynamic behavior of CRH380B type high speed vehicle with suspension component failures

Firstly, a dynamic simulation model of CRH380B type high speed vehicle for detecting and locating the suspension component failures based on SIMPACK software is established in this paper. Then based on the established dynamic simulation model, the dynamic behaviors of different parts of the vehicle with the primary vertical damper failure, air spring failure and the yaw damper failure are respectively investigated under different speed levels. By analyzing the time and frequency domain characteristics of the dynamic response signals of car body, front and rear bogies, the relationship between the failure of bogie suspension components and dynamics response signals of vehicle system is obtained. Finally, by analyzing the respective sensitive dynamics response signals further, the respective sensitive fault feature factors to detect and locating the primary vertical damper failure, air spring failure and the yaw damper failure are proposed in this paper.
