Steady state analysis of a doubly-fed induction generator

The aims of this paper are mainly, the modeling and simulation of a doubly fed induction generator used in converting wind energy to an electrical one. First, wind turbine modeling is studied. Second, the method of establishing the steady state control laws of a doubly fed induction generator used in wind turbine system is presented. The model is used to derive the converter control laws of the DFIG in terms of voltage and angle control on the whole operation speed range. Finally, the simulation work performed under MATLAB-SIMULINK package is used to analyze the doubly fed induction generator and illustrate the performances of the proposed analytical method.
