Compressed sensing based aperture encodec imaging radar technique

This paper introduces an aperture encoded imaging radar (AEIR) system. Compared with the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and Inverse SAR (ISAR) radar, the AEIR system can extract the image for both static and moving targets when the system is at rest. The core of the framework is the architecture that we construct for the AEIR imaging system. The AEIR system is composed of 1 radiation radar and several receive stations. The transmitted signal is encoded with different amplitudes, phases, frequencies and pseudo-random codes. By using the compressed projective gradient method, the image of the target can be extract from the echoes. Simulation results and the experimental tests of the prototype show that the AEIR system can effectively produce the images of static and moving targets.
