Moving false-targets jamming suppression method for radar based on frequency subspace

A false-targets jamming suppression method is proposed. Due to the difference of Doppler frequency between real targets and false-targets jamming, the samples of one coherent processing interval (CPI) can be collected to construct the frequency covariance matrix. Frequency subspace projection (SP) method can be used to suppress the jamming. Jammer's maneuverable motion will change the covariance matrix over time. Frequency subspace reconstruction method is proposed to reconstruct the jamming subspace of the current CPI based on the last CPI unnecessary to estimate and eigen-decomposite the covariance matrix. Computation complexity is lowered with similar jamming suppression performance. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
