InSAR system modeling and optimal baseline design based on information theory

In this paper, we regard Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) as a special communication system, so information theory is used to describe and study InSAR. InSAR information theory model is established and various information contents of InSAR system are defined. Optimal InSAR baseline design method is proposed under the rule of the maximum mutual information, and the optimal baseline and acceptable baseline interval are obtained in both single-look and multi-looks cases.
