Real-time waveform adaption in spectral crowed environment using a sub-waveforms-based library

This paper presents a novel library-based approach for real-time waveform adaption in spectral crowed environment. The suggested approach is to first design a serious of sub-waveforms that are of different durations and bandwidths (namely establish the library), and then assemble the properly selected sub-waveforms to generate the desired waveform for certain quantized spectrum condition. Analysis indicated that sub-waveforms shall have sufficient out-band power attenuation and flat in-band power spectrum to ensure that the generated waveforms feature deep spectrum notches in desired intervals and low integrated sidelobe level (ISL). Also analyzed is the library scale, which indicates that the proposed waveform library can afford high quantization accuracy with a small scale. Numeric results are given to illustrate how the proposed library works and also for validation.
