Coprime sampling with deterministic digital filters in compressive sensing radar

Compressive Sensing radar has been studied in the past few years, however, some difficulties still need to be solved both in theory and engineering. For the difficulty in designing random measurement matrix on the hardware, a scheme of co-prime sampling with deterministic filters in compressive sensing radar is proposed. A deterministic low-pass filter is used to replace the random filter in order to facilitate the implementation of the hardware system. The extraction from the convolution result of the received signal and the filter is equivalent to the process of measurement. Extraction functions with co-prime extraction factors are employed to decide the structure of measurement matrix and the compression factor. The numerical results indicate that the scheme of co-prime sampling with deterministic filters can realize accurate reconstruction of sparse targets scene by considerable fewer samples in radar system.
