Angular superresolution of moving target for airborne forward-looking scanning radar

Angular resolution is limited by the antenna beam width for forward-looking scanning radar imaging, which can be solved using the sparse signal reconstruction method with l_p norm regularization since the distribution of the strong scattering target is sparse relative to the imaging area. However, the range migration and Doppler frequency migration caused by the motion of platform and target will severely degrade the performance of angular super-resolution for airborne forward looking scanning radar imaging of moving target. To alleviate these problems, a novel process is proposed to achieve motion compensation and azimuth super-resolution. Moreover, simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed imaging method.
