Model predictive current control for the semi-controlled open winding PMSG

The semi-controlled open-winding permanent magnet synchronous generation system with a common dc bus provides a flowing path for zero sequence current, which will decrease the efficiency of the whole control system. To solve zero-sequence current of the semi-controlled open winding PMSG system, a model predictive current control (MPCC) method is proposed based on the analysis of the working principle of the semi-controlled open winding PMSG system and the generating mechanism of zero sequence current. This method can not only achieve the goal of suppressing zero sequence current, but also avoid PI current controllers parameters compared with vector control method. Finally, the simulation results validate effectiveness of proposed method.
