Analysis of axially displaced ellipse reflector antennas by using HFSS-PO hybrid method

In this paper, a novel hybrid technique for radiation pattern computation of an Axially Displaced Ellipse (ADE) is proposed and demonstrated. The proposed technique employs the combination of HFSS and Physical Optics (PO). As a result, a highly accurate radiation pattern has been obtained using our method. Because computation time and memory usage of this technique are much less than that of other full-wave analyses, the proposed method can be applied to a large aperture reflector antenna analysis.
