Detection of peaks from auditory brainstem evoked potentials using wavelet functions

The problem of selecting the best basis function for detecting peaks of the brainstem evoked potentials, is analyzed. No new wavelet function is proposed; instead, the existing basis functions are reviewed and the one with the best correlation coefficient with the points of interest is chosen for application on a digitally implemented filter.
