Terminal efficiency of fragment air-to-air missile using Monte Carlo method

In order to evaluate combat effectiveness of missile weapon system, especially to provide guidance for structural plan design and fuse-warhead coordination design, this paper hereby studies issues about terminal efficiency of three-dimensional fragment type air-to-air missile. Terminal efficiency computation framework of projectile is established, and detailed modeling is conducted to single-shot kill probability, including rendezvous parameter calculation, fuse launch and shot number of vulnerable sections. Monte Carlo calculation method is applied. Besides, this paper puts forward a method to simplify target outline model, and the way to discrete detonating shrapnel flow under this condition, and proposes a new calculation method for calculating shot number of flat section and elliptical section. Simulation calculation is carried out based on the examples and calculation results prove the effectiveness of the method.
