Current issues regarding to the inspection of conductive clothing

Bare-hand method is a commonly used way of live-line working to maintain the high voltage grid. In case of this technique a galvanic connection is ensured between the energized parts and the conductive clothing of the worker - acting as a Faraday-cage. These clothing are inspected periodically to control their electrical parameters continuously: the most important aspects are the resistance values and the efficiency of their screening. This paper introduces and evaluates the current way of measurement by IEC 60895; recommendations were made to make the inspections safer while their efficiency increases.
