Morphology control of magnetic properties in cobalt nanowires

Summary form only given.In this paper, we present the morphology and magnetic properties of Cobalt nanowires prepared by the solvothermal chemical process. By varying the amount of capping agent in proper ranges, the effect of synthetic parameters on controlling Co nanowires with different size and shape is demonstrated. The parallel orientation of these nanowires exhibit hard magnetic properties and the relationship between the morphology and the magnetic properties are also presented.
