Study on control strategy of TSC reactive power compensator based on fuzzy control

This thesis presents historical background of fuzzy control and fundamentals of TSC reactive power compensator. It is designed with dual-input of voltage deviation and reactive power deviation, and output fuzzy control system of class number of TSC switches. The system is divided into two groups according to different membership functions, the first group using triangle membership function and the second group using trapezoid and triangle membership functions. The system is controlled by using Mamdani inference method and the fuzziness is solved using centroid method, supplemented with MATLAB to carry out research and simulation so as to verify feasibility of the system. By data comparison of the two groups, it is found that the second group of strategy system has high stability and more than 50% of TSC action is reduced. Simulation results show that the second group of fuzzy control system designed in the thesis is optimal.
