Euro-Asian cooperation for education in nanoelectronics. Need analysis

In this paper, we present the first results of the on-going Erasmus+ project for collaborative development of curricula in nanoelectronics. This project aims at transferring knowledge between higher education institutions in three European countries - Bulgaria, Italy and Norway and institutions in Partner Countries - China, Malaysia, India and Israel to modernise university curricula in nanoelectronics. The project addresses the regional priorities of the Asian countries and the national priority of Israel for development of learning and teaching tools, applying the approach with learning outcomes and ICT-based practices, including virtual mobility of students and staff. The project is aimed at developing and delivering master level courses to the students in nanotechnologies for electronics. The content of the learning materials will bring the students, the knowledge and skills responding to the industry needs in order to provide future students, teachers and industry professionals the most relevant skills and competencies in this field. In order to fulfill the industry's employment and training needs, a survey was designed and implemented for the need analysis and it has been performed among the various customers. The results of this analysis are presented in the paper.
