A study on lenders' perceived uncertainty and willingness to bid in Online P2P lending

P2P lending is a new phenomenon and characterized by strongly asymmetric information which is known to lead to adverse selection and moral hazard. It is difficult for lenders to make bid decisions when they encounter tremendous request listings because they perceive high level of uncertainty and complexity. The purpose of current study is to find and identify the antecedents of perceived uncertainty, and elaborate the impact of perceived uncertainty on willingness to bid in the context of P2P lending.
