Environmental performance evaluation combining environmental strategies—with balanced scorecard as a tool

In recent years, the environmental pollution problem resulting from the production and operation process of corporation is very prominent. As a result, resources and environmental issues have become blocks restricting the healthy development of China's economy and society. Scholars have called on enterprises to take on more social responsibility and introduce corporate responsibility into strategic performance evaluations. As one of the important contents of corporate social responsibility, corporate environmental responsibility has aroused researches of environmental problems and environmental performance evaluation of enterprises, and the corporate environmental strategy has become a hot issue in the current enterprise management research. Because of the dual function of balanced scorecard (BSC) about performance evaluation and strategic management, BSC has become an important tool for connecting environmental performance evaluation and enterprise environment strategic management. Based on the importance of the above problems, this paper reviews and summarizes the relevant research, and makes a brief comment.
