Self-oscillation for mode localized sensors

This paper for the first time realizes closed-loop self-oscillation control for mode localized sensors. A symmetrical dual-modes weakly coupled resonators (DM-WCRs) is used and its vibration modes can be selectively locked and the amplitude noises are greatly reduced. The test results show that the noise floor (9.304μN/m/√Hz) and signal to noise ratio (SNR, 92.23dB) under closed-loop measurement are largely improved compared with those (1.724mN/m/ √ Hz and 45.86dB) under open-loop measurement. The sensitivity based on the amplitude ratio readout is ~485 times higher than that of the frequency.
