Over-the-air manipulation: An intuitive control system for smart home

In this paper, we design and implement an intuitive manipulation method for smart home system, called “over-the-Air Manipulation System.” It is used to improve the operation inconvenience of smart home system. We exploit the two components of smart glasses, display screen and camera, to capture the user's control gestures and display the information of smart home appliance. Moreover, the system will convert the control gestures to manipulation information and transmit it to the smart home appliance via wireless network. In the experimental results, we successfully use gestures to control the air conditioner and to turn on/off the light.
