Resonant modes of asymmetric quasi-photonic crystal filters

In this article, we present an approach to manage the resonant modes in quasi-photonic crystals with five silver nanorods as its unit-cell, embedded in air. We use symmetric and asymmetric Ag nanorods. A simple electromagnetic field model is suggested to shift resonance frequencies to desirable place in spectrum, by varying the nanorods radius. This modal description lead us to achieve efficient single-band filter.
