A suitable controller for load sharing between paralleled inverters of an islanded microgrid

In an islanded microgrid, control of voltage, current, and frequency without supporting the main network is an important subject. In this circumstance, having a robust control against disturbance and load variation leads to improve performance of the islanded microgrid. Moreover, contribution of paralleled inverters helps to supply sensitive loads with high reliability. In this paper, hysteresis control approach is used to improve voltage control of islanded microgrid and a sliding-mode (SM) approach is used as a current controller mode to increase stability and achieve balanced load sharing among the inverters. Additionally, for amending the operation of conventional inverters, a switched inductor Z-source inverter topology is utilized. The performance of the proposed control strategy is evaluated through some simulations in MATLAB/Simulink. The results confirm the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed strategy for an islanded microgrid.
