A new control system for grid-feeding power converters of solid oxide fuel cells

Control structures of power converters in an AC microgrid are classified into grid supporting, grid feeding, and grid forming. In this paper, a new control system has been designed for a grid-feeding power converter belonging to a solid oxide fuel cell stack. Also, the model of the solid oxide fuel cell stack for power systems introduced in recent studies has been improved in this research study considering the double-layer charging effect. The simulation results confirm capability of the proposed control system and show dynamic behaviour of the solid oxide fuel cell stack.
