Satellite downlink communication band notched UWB antenna using uniplanar EBG structure

Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) antenna with band notch possessions by means of artificial materials is suggested. This methodology makes use of uniplanar Electromagnetic Band Gap (EBG) structure that is capacitively attached to antenna feed to accomplish band-notched designs.
