Service Innovations of University Libraries in the MOOC Era

MOOC (Massive Open Online Massive Open Course) has grown dramatically since "the Year of MOOC", MOOCs are likely to become part of higher education in the near future. There are a number of challenges that libraries will face as MOOCs take off. Discussions with the faculties are fundamental to the successful development of a MOOC, to ensure that those factors usually seen as the remit of the library service to lead on, such as MOOC production, copyright, licensing, digital, physical and virtual spaces, and information literacy are taken into consideration.
