Analysis of transparent coplanar waveguide with few microns — Grid width

Transmission line with few microns — grid width is studied and discussed using S-parameters and characteristic impedance for the first time to the authors' best knowledge. The S-parameters of the transparent transmission line consisting of grid structures are extracted by experiment and mathematical derivation. The S-parameters of the transparent transmission line is found to be comparable to that of conventional printed circuit board CPW. It is confirmed that devising the transparent transmission line with periodic grid structures results in reduced characteristic impedance properties.
