Electrical characterization of the double crossing Glidarc reactor with cylindrical symmetry

Innovative treatment of bacteria from fluids can be performed using the electrochemical discharge produced by the cold plasma inside of the Glidarc reactor. Electrochemical discharge onto the treated fluid can be used direct when a gas is used for treatment and indirect applied onto water to obtain power activated water. The behaviour of the electrochemical discharges inside Glidarc reactor is dependent by various factors: 1) physical factors: thermodynamic parameters of the gas (pressure, temperature, flow); 2) chemical factors: gas type, electrical charge carrier density, electrodes materials; 3) geometric factors: electrodes shape, distance between the electrodes, gas injection method (tangential or double crossing); 4) electrical factors: Pd - discharge power, Pm - medium power discharge, Pn - nominal power discharge, Un - nominal voltage, In - nominal current, ή - electrical efficiency, ws - specific energy [1]. Bio decontamination effects during experiments have been confirmed using a GlidArc reactor with circular symmetry and double crossing method of gas injection [4].
