Assessments on the ENERED photovoltaic power plant electricity production

The Electrical Engineering Faculty of Iasi, Romania, developed, through the ENERED project, a photovoltaic power plant of 9 kW in order to sustain research activities in the renewable energy sector. At the same time the electricity produced can be used in order to supply several loads. The PV power plant contains nine photovoltaic modules of 1 kW, of which three fixed oriented, another three are single-axis oriented and the last three are double-axis oriented. This paper aims to present the photovoltaic power plant and also to analyze its energy output. A 1.5 kW load was connected for each row of three modules. The double-axis orientating modules were the most efficient, as they supplied a little more than half of the load's consumption in the studied interval.
